The Spice Cinnamon is actually made from the bark of several trees of the same family, and it has been popularly used for decades in foods.

It has been attributed with several Health benefits including;

ANTIVIRAL- In several studies ove the past decades, Cinnamon has been shown to have antiviral properties, and one study has indicated Cinnamon to be helpful in treating HIV with some people.

ALZHEIMER's- A 2011 study has indicated that extracts from Cinnamon bark can aid in the treatment of Alzheimer's.

CHOLESTEROL and BLOOD GLUCOSE Levels- A study in Pakistan has indicated that Cinnamon extracts can aid in the control of Cholesterol and Blood glucose levels in people with Type-2 Diabetes.

According to the USDA, 1-tbs ground Cinnamon provides;

CARBOHYDRATES-      6.3 grams
FAT-                                 0.1 grams
FIBER-                             6.1 grams
PROTEIN-                       0.31 grams
